When do I change my Air Filters?

We recommend that you change your air filters twice a year in a residential  furnace. Best to align the changes in Spring and Fall to get the best efficiency with your cooling and heating system.

Can air quality lower the life of my air filter?

Yes it can. When the air quality is impacted by environmental events like smoky days for an extend amount of time and you use your central air system to improve your in home air quality. We recommend that you check the filter as it may need to be changed more frequently.

What is the best air filter for my home?

This will depend on your central air system, age, last time it was serviced, and efficiency rating. We recommend referring to your manufacture recommendations. However we are happy to schedule an appointment with you to review your system and answer any additional question you may have.

What are the correct operating temperatures for my refrigerator and freezer?

Your refrigerator should be set to 40 degrees or below per the FDA.

Your freezer should be set to 0 degrees per the FDA

Your manufacture will have a recommended setting for your temperature dial to achieve these temperature.

If your refrigerator or freezer is dialed in and still not maintaining the proper temperature please schedule a call with us so we can diagnose your appliance issue.

How often should I replace HVAC air filters?

We recommend replacing air filters every quarter?

We also recommend a quarterly preventative maintenance to keep your costs low and system functioning. Contact us today to schedule your preventative maintenance appointment.

Does a steamer need preventative maintenance?

Yes it does. We recommend that it is descaled twice a year for lightly used steamers and quarterly for heavily used steamers.

To what temperature(s) should I set my HVAC system?

We recommend that you should not go below 68 degrees on the cooling side. This may cause coil freeze which will limit air flow and prevent room cool.

We recommend that in the winter you set the temperature to you customers desired comfort.

Does Kaupp Industries clean vent hoods?

We do not. We recommend that you contact a commercial kitchen cleaning service that specializes in this services.
